Lookbooks We Love: Pyjama Tribe by CHOLA the label

Chola look book High Res_Page_20

Species

Homo pyjamarus bad-assness

Common name

Pyjama People

Observations

Succinctly, the Pyjama Tribe seem to never age. Their people tend to outlive the normal homo sapien species, if not in time then in experience.

They are not hunters and gatherers of food in the usual sense but are always on the lookout for a new experience as a way to get their hearts racing and to feed their souls.

The tribe shows a great tendency to seek out adventure, new sights and sounds, and on occasions, even danger. The people seem to be fearless, occasionally even reckless but, are kind and charming by nature.

Distinguishable from the other homo sapiens by their unique clothing, the Pyjama Tribe’s people’s wears are made with love by a woman they’ve anointed their Chief – a spritely, stylish woman who has a way with patterns and fabrics. They call her Chief Pyjama Chola, or just Chola, though the mythos behind the name has long been lost.

Chola dresses her people in clothes so comfortable, they could be considered hugs made from locally sourced fabrics. The Pyjama Tribe’s coverings, she decorates with minimalist, subtle details, usually in primary colours. Her people show a great affinity for earthy colours and monochrome.

The tribespeople’s clothing reflects their gentle natures and adventuresome lives. They dress in loose, but well-tailored and strong materials that can keep up with their wanderlust hit hearts and feet.

The women of the tribe are fierce warriors, but loyal friends; it is possible that early on in the tribe’s development they overthrew any restrictions imposed on themselves and are now known for their love of independence.

Pyjama People can be found on near any part of Earth, but they never stray too far from nature. The people appear to prefer beaches, lakes, forests over cities and soot. The tribe is not bound to each other and are often found travelling great distances individually. They are not a monolithic tribe with set rules of entry. Rather, they are bound together by common ideals and like-mindedness.

As different from each other as they are from the homo sapiens sans pyjamas, the Pyjama Tribe come together for a singular reason.

Don’t believe me, just have a look-see at the making of videos we’ve added as an extra bonus for all you #pyjamapeople whom we love!
