AntzDoodlesForPyjamaPeople: #12, Flight Delay – Never a problem!

Airports are emotional places. Long awaited reunions, sentimental goodbyes, excess baggage drama, flying anxieties. Throw in a few delayed flights and you have yourself a curse dictionary.

I was at Bangalore airport last year during the Christmas season. All the flights were delayed because of the holiday rush. I found myself surrounded by a crowd of super anxious and agitated travellers. To add to that, the entire airport shopping area was also shut.

Airport. Delayed flights. No duty-free shopping or wi-fi? Sounds awful, doesn’t it? It was!

With not much to do, I settled in a corner and out came the sketchbook.

Suddenly the long hours began to seem like minutes. The illustrations flowing out through my pen were so engrossing I was afraid I’d miss my flight call.

Bring on the delayed flights I say – they too are filled with inspiration!
