AntzDoodles #17: Drawing Hope

Ever so often, I get asked if my doodles are a way of expressing my anger towards RA. The answer is NO.

I have a disease of the joints: read swollen fingers, locked wrists, and aching elbows. If anger was driving me, I would just rant to my friends. Instead, I chose to do  something that causes me more discomfort.

The motivation to pick up the pen with an aching wrist does not stem from anger. It springs from HOPE!

Hope and positivity are my biggest weapons against RA, and that is exactly what is translated into my sketches. Funnily enough, this process is the exact opposite of auto immune – every sketch gives me more power and with every like from you guys, I get more strength to keep fighting!
