Avengers Assemble at Disneyland: Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Anthony Mackie Celebrate the Opening of Avengers Campus

The Avengers have collected most of them. Our Marvel heroes showed up to celebrate the opening of the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland, whose debut was halted last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The official Twitter handle treated fans to photos of Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Ant Man (Paul Rudd), Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Jon Favreau, who has directed two films in the MCU and plays the role from Happy in the movies.

In the photos, our heroes posed near eateries and with the staff dressed as Avengers. Paul Rudd was standing near ‘Pym Test Kitchen’, while Saldana was near a vehicle demo. We also have a photo of a shawarma eatery. Marvel fans would know how important shawarmas are in the world of the Avengers. Happy stood next to an Iron Man, ready to strike.

Fans have inundated the tweets with comments. One even tweeted that takeaway mementos should be included with every section, and look like a comic book panel, and a booklet that they can be stuck on to form the visitor’s own comic book. Other fans promised to show up as soon as restrictions eased.

There are many things to look forward to on the Avengers Campus, enough to make the Marvel fan’s cup overflowing.

For the Spider-Man enthusiasts, there is a Spider-Man ride that allows visitors to shoot bots with virtual webs with their bare hands. ‘Web-Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure’ combines a ride structure with cameras that capture guests’ body movements and allow them to play Peter Parker. The guests will have to help Spidey fight an outbreak of powerful Spider-bots, who have taken over a building.

In addition, they are treated to a show from the Royal Guard of Wakanda. In another part of the park, there will be grand music and beats to announce the marching arrival of the Dora Milaje – the royal guard protecting T’Challa in Black Panther. Along with their leader, Okoye, the women of Wakanda will give some hard lessons to future warriors in the audience, a lesson in martial arts. There is a moment of levity as Okoye tells the crowd that she will honor fallen kings and ancestors, the ritual. This is a moment of mourning for those who died during the pandemic, as well as the recognition of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who died of cancer last year, leaving millions of fans devastated.

The new section will also include a Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! a drop tower ride with funky tunes.

“We’re excited to finally open the gates and let everyone in,” Scot Drake, a creative portfolio manager at Walt Disney Imagineering, said in the park. “We had over 70 years of stories and great characters to pull off, 23 epic movies, and for us it was, ‘What’s the best way to get our guests right in the middle of those stories, right in the middle of the action? ?'”
