Classic anime collections coming to Netflix are rare, so we’re excited to announce that four of the classics Gundam mobile suit Movies are expected to appear on Netflix in the US and some other Netflix regions on June 18, 2021.

Based on our research, multiple Netflix regions will receive the four films, including Netflix in the United States and the United Kingdom.

We’ll be adding these titles to the June 2021 preview soon, which is already stacked with new animes, including The seven deadly sins Season 5 and more.

The Gundam mobile suit Franchise has only grown over time, though the original series fell flat and was canceled after a single season.

The franchise has spawned many films that span four decades, so it’s pretty daunting if you want to dive in. However, these four films added to Netflix are a perfect introduction to the franchise.

Netflix US is already hosting some Mobile Suit Gundam titles. Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-blooded orphans is available since November 2019 during Mobile suit Gundam UC was added in September 2018.

The movie collection comes as anime and continues to be a big driver for Netflix. It continues to fuel growth for Netflix through its own huge anime productions and licensing some of the biggest titles in the genre (excluding Japan, it turns out – great read from The Information here)

It could be a great time to dive into the franchise as a live-action adaptation was in the works a few years ago but has since fallen silent.
