Actor Abhishek Bachchan called his battle with Covid-19 “not a nice experience” and emphasized that staying positive was the only option for him at the time. Abhishek was infected with the coronavirus last July and tested negative after being hospitalized for 29 days.
Abhishek tested positive along with his superstar father Amitabh Bachchan who was in the same hospital with him for a long time. Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai and daughter Aaradhya were hospitalized for a week.
During a live motivational podcast on social media with international speaker Anand Chulani, as reported by IANS, Abhishek said: “It was not a nice experience for me because you know I had a family that was also affected by this. If you are in a situation where you are under medical supervision, you are very powerless. The first nights I was in the hospital it was hard to sleep because I didn’t really know what was in store for me on the other side. “
However, Abhishek revealed that seeing the fighting spirit of his father, Bachchan senior, who has serious comorbidities, was inspiring. He further added that Amitabh Bachchan is “good company to have”.
“It was wonderful to wake up and go to my father who was 78 years old last year, a man with serious comorbidities, but he was positive and had that fighting spirit to get through this. At that point, my energy was clearly focused on him and he got better because you’re afraid of your parents, it’s a sensitive age group actually,” Abhishek said in the same podcast.
He added: “He’s also a good friend of mine, so it was good shooting the wind with him. There was some good chatter, I mean he’s a good spacer in that sense. “
Abhishek, who last appeared in The Big Bull, will also appear in Bob Biswas. He was shooting for Dasvi when all production was suspended due to the second wave of the coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, has released Chehre soon. He also has Brahmastra and Good Bye in his cat.
