The new Swedish series Snabba Cash will return for a second season on Netflix, due to hit the service in 2022. Filming is likely to begin later this year.

The thriller series debuted worldwide on Netflix on April 7, 2021, picking up where the original Swedish film trilogy left off, albeit 10 years into the future. The series was ordered back in June 2019, with SF Studios leading the project.

According to FlixPatrol, the series did well in its home country, which reports that the series has been in the top 10 there for 61 days. In other Nordic countries like Norway (55 days), Finland (28 days), Denmark (23 days) it always did well. It did well in other European countries too, but failed to establish itself in the top 10 in the US, UK, Canada or Australia.

Thanks to Expressen we learned that Snabba Cash returns for a second season in 2022.

Oskar Söderlund told Expressen that (freely translated): “Working with Season 1 was a lot of fun, teamwork and being able to return to our characters, the team and the actors who work on the project feels fantastic. I’m very proud of the first season, but now we’re going to do something even better. “

2022 will also be the year in which another Swedish series Love & anarchy is due to return also for its second season.

Other TV projects coming soon on Netflix include Scared people, Young royals (planned to be released on July 1st), Clark, The unlikely killer and Untold.

The only other Swedish original series from Netflix, Quicksand, has to be renewed.
