May was calm after Indian gambling in April. Netflix this month unveiled two original Hindi films and an unexpected original series: a Hindi-dubbed version of the Netflix game show Soil is lava. Here are all of the new Indian movies and TV series added to Netflix in May 2021.

This is director Ivan Ayr’s second feature film and his second Netflix original film after the 2018 social drama Soni.

Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is making his debut as a screenwriter and producer 99 songs. Newcomer Ehan Bhat plays a struggling musician who is challenged to write 100 songs before he can marry the woman he loves. Of course, Rahman’s background music and soundtrack are the movie’s main selling points. 99 songs is available in original Hindi as well as dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu (each version has its own team of lyricists for the 14 melodies of the soundtrack).

Lava Ka Dhaava (2021) N

Lava Ka Dhaava is the Hindi-dubbed version of the Netflix Original Game Show 2020 in English Soil is lava. Actor Javed Jaffrey – who narrated the Hindi versions of the Japanese game shows Takeshi’s castle and Ninja warrior – adds funny comments as participants traverse a dangerous obstacle course while trying not to fall into the “lava” that covers the ground. If you enjoy watching people smash their faces on things, this show is for you.
