The makers of Monday’s Keerthy Suresh starrer Good Luck Sakhi quashed rumors of releasing their film directly on a streaming service. The film would have been released in theaters on June 3, if not for the pandemic.
“Good luck Sakhi – There are rumors that we are going in the media for a direct OTT release. Kindly ask the media not to say this. None of it is true. We’ll come up with an update when there’s one. I hope everyone stays home and safe,” Sudheer Chandra, the film’s producer, said in a statement.
The film’s co-producer Shravya Varma also tweeted: “Heard a lot of speculation about the release of #GoodLuckSakhi, as you all know, was supposed to be out on June 3rd, but the turn of events did not allow us to do so. However, there is still no clarity about the new release date or the new platform. We will update as soon as we have one.”
