Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty turned one year older on Sunday. On the occasion of his 38th birthday, a new teaser of his upcoming movie 777 Charlie was released by various stars from all over the Indian film industry. Considering it was Rakshit’s birthday, you can expect the actor to star in the teaser, instead the story takes precedence over the star of the film.
Judging by the 777 Charlie teaser, Rakshit Shetty appears to be playing second fiddle to a very mischievous Labrador dog, who has mastered the art of surviving alone in the city. It is like a lone wolf, which hunts and eats alone. The dog gets a heroic introduction in the teaser when he smashes through the glass, aka the trained assassin in director Timur Bekmambetov’s Wanted. And what follows is a taste of a puppy’s journey coupled with a beautiful tune titled Life Of Charlie. The song is written by Nagarjun Sharma, sung by Shubham Roy and composed by Nobin Paul.
It is a song that marks the dog’s maturation. It takes a journey through the scenic landscapes of Karnataka in search of a home. And along the way, he learns to enjoy nature, learn parlor tricks to steal food, and travel long distances without wearing out his muscles. The video of just over two minutes is sure to bring a smile to viewers’ faces and fill their hearts with a lot of warmth. If the teaser is anything to go by, Charlie the dog appears to have put in one of the greatest animal performances of all time.
The film, written and directed by Kiranraj K, will be released in multiple languages later this year. In addition to Rakshit, the film also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B Shetty, Danish Sait, Bobby Simha and others.
