Tamil superstar Vijay’s next project is all set for Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally, according to a few reports. The film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, will be Vijay’s 66th film.
According to The Hindu, Vamsi has revealed to Telugu media that he and Vijay will collaborate on a film project, which is expected to be both in Tamil and Telugu once Thalapathy finishes his current project. Vijay is currently filming for Thalapathy 65, which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
No official announcement has been made so far.
National Film Award winner Vamshi Paidipally last directed the 2019 film Maharshi, starring Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde. He is also known for movies like Munna, Brindavanam, Yevadu and Oopiri.
Vijay was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action thriller Master earlier this year. It was released on January 13. Master, also starring Vijay Sethupathi, proved to be a huge box-office hit both in India and abroad, despite mixed critical reviews.
Some of Vijay’s other recent films include Bigil, Sarkar and Mersal.
