Happy Friday and it’s the start of Memorial Day weekend in the US. Six brand new titles just landed on Netflix in the US for May 28th, and we’ll also see what’s trending in the Netflix top 10 lists.

As we mentioned in yesterday’s Daily Roundup, you only have a few days left to see ABCs American crime, My week with Marilyn, Beauty and the bitches and The ones i love.

Not much is planned for Netflix over the weekend, the big highlight is a refreshed library of Danger! Episodes and the new Bo Burnham comedy special called Inside hitting on Sunday.

Now let’s get to the brand new releases for today:

Lucifer (Season 5 – Part 2)

Genre: Crime, drama, fantasy
Occupation: Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, Lesley-Ann Brandt
Writer: Tom Kapinos
Running time: 42 min

Originally intended as the end of Lucifer, Season 5, Part 2 now continues the story and forms the actual final sixth season of Lucifer coming soon.

Tom Ellis repeats his role as Lucifer Morningstar in a further 8 episodes, including a noir episode and a singing episode. Widely considered the show’s strongest season to date, it can now be seen worldwide on Netflix.

The Kominsky Method (Season 3)

Genre: Comedy, drama
Occupation: Michael Douglas, Sarah Baker, Alan Arkin, Nancy Travis
Writer: Chuck Lorre
Running time: 30 minutes
Awards: Nominated for 6 Primetime Emmys. Another 3 wins and 21 nominations.

One of Netflix’s most decorated comedies ends today with The Kominsky method Farewell after three seasons.

The third season has some big changes, with Alan Arkin missing from this season in particular. Though it misses its lead, The Kominsky Method goes out with a bang and cemented itself as one of the best Netflix comedies the streamer has ever given the go-ahead.

Dog in Trouble (2019)

Genre: Animation, adventure, comedy, family, music
Director: Kevin Johnson
Occupation: Big Sean, Pamela Adlon, Lucy Hale, Marissa Jaret Winokur
Writer: Rob Muir (screenplay by), Jordan Katz (story by), Rob Muir (story by)
Running time: 87 minutes

Originally released in 2019 under the name Trouble, the animated feature film is now arriving worldwide on Netflix with the Netflix original branding.

Here’s what you can expect from the animated feature:

“The privileged life of a pampered dog named Trouble is turned upside down when he gets lost and has to learn to survive on the streets of the big city.”

Security Beauty (2016)

Genre: Drama, romance
Director: David Frankel
Occupation: Will Smith, Edward Norton, Kate Winslet, Michael Peña
Writer: Allan Loeb
Running time: 97 minutes

Though critics weren’t kind to Collateral Beauty when it was first released half a decade ago, the audience appears to have embraced the Will Smith drama.

Here’s what to expect if you’ve never seen the movie:

“An advertising manager struggling with grief finds meaning by writing letters to unconventional recipients while caring colleagues craft a ruse.”
